ABOUT

An eponymous homage to her dressmaker grandmother, Georgette is a love letter from a granddaughter to her matriarch muse.

Georgette embodies all the poetry, refinement, and craftsmanship of a family heirloom, but infused with modernity.

Its style is drawn from Georgette’s own wardrobe, the sober beauty of her apron, her every day or more festive dresses, the solemnity of a coat, but also the humble grace of her wedding gown. A delicate aesthetic is punctuated with a retro twist, expressed through subtle vintage touches like the buttons that Georgette prized and collected.

Impeccable lines and cuts are immaculately finished, with fabrics in a colour palette as poetic as it is vibrant. Georgette’s spirit is that of spontaneous creation, the conception of one model at a time, disengaged from the fashion industry calendar.

Georgette pieces are all designed and produced locally, in a Belgian workshop that trains people in precarious employment situations in sewing.

Materials are sourced with care, principally in Europe.

Georgette. An ode to the past infused with modern femininity.
